Why aren't we doing this for all platforms? This thing is really 🔥. I have been thinking this lately in my mind. And honestly it's just really really cool. We raise the bar as spammers raise the bar. Wonderful idea and usage to be honest.

zaps are Lightning Network, which is layer 2. You can only mine in layer 1 (i.e. Bitcoin).

Feature suggestion:
It would be nice to have an option to change proof of work in a post compose UI instead of only via the settings page.
This way one can use custom pow for some particular posts.

I have some account verification thing to my external accounts like bluesky, mastodon, github, telegram, uid.ovh etc. I could see those in my amethyst app and not in nostrich. Is it not implemented yet? or i'm missing out something.

Also I see blue tick in my profile and many other profiles in nostrich, what does that mean?

The account "verification" on Nostr is that blue tick as far as I know. It's "NIP-05: Mapping Nostr keys to DNS-based internet identifiers".
