I've actually decided tonight to give up on #nostr I guess it's a 'it's not you it's me' moment. I mean I've genuinely tried and given it plenty of time. Sure I've probably made mistakes or maybe just have a shit personality I guess. Either way I've never found my people or friends or even had any good two way exchanges in depth on a topic.

I wish the project well as I love the concept (just couldn't make it work for me). Peace.

When in doubt, humanize yourself. We’re very early here. Probably .0001% of the people online are on nostr. All the best if you leave but you’ll make it stronger by stickin around. 🫑

I guess that's one man's opinion. Respect your right to it.

I would just say this:

1. Elon does not understand money at all so he is welcomed to fuck around and find out.
2. Jack Dorsey lost control of Twitter well before he exited as CEO. He learnt some painful lessons.
3. Bitcoin cannot fight for privacy from the base layer of the protocol. The strategy on that front is clear.
4. We have to welcome our enemies (wall st) to #bitcoin otherwise the project fails before it barely has started.
5. There is plenty of critical and adversarial thinking about Bitcoin happening.

Just another man's 2 cents.

3. This is like saying we can't fight for self custody or permissionless transactions from the base layer of the protocol. 4. Death by a thousand compromises. We already see this with the trend of normalizing custodians with fedimints. 5. Apparently not enough. Privacy and fungibility problems have...

This πŸ”Ό And nostr:npub1f6ugxyxkknket3kkdgu4k0fu74vmshawermkj8d06sz6jts9t4kslazcka is right... Make it an option that I can toggle so that no one can "tidy" my speech and everyone wins.

How the fuck any one reads my comment and draws the conclusion that I was implying OTHER PEOPLE should be able to tidy up your speech is beyond me. I'm clearly referring to your OWN right to manage your OWN speech to ensure your message is authentic to your intent.

Probably because you commented on a comment discussing other people's ability to edit other people's note. It's called an agreement with clarification. If you're going to be an asshole, fuck off and don't reply to people.
