I’m almost thinking replies matter more. A good reply can get zapped just like the original post, so the conversation underneath becomes part of the value instead of an afterthought.

Even if two transaction parties both individually save in bitcoin, it would still make sense to use whatever the predominant currency is as the unit of account, right?

It's really the only rational strategy for the time being. Only when a majority saves in bitcoin as a store of value would you expect the equilibrium to shift.

It is hard to escape the game theory of this.

Unless and until everyone prefers to store value in bitcoin, it doesn't make sense to use it as the unit of account.

If it isn't the unit of account, it's difficult to justify using it as the medium of exchange.
