@G H Learner

I like writing #SciFi and #fantasy stories. I write for pleasure.
I have simple tastes and write simple stories.
I'm German but write mostly in English for practice.
TERFs, fascists, antisemites get blocked. Overgeneralizing boomer-bashers too.

28. What is your MCs relationship to nature?

Her world worships a Mother Goddess who is, basically, nature. All of them understands that they are part of nature and act accordingly.
Bella is no different. It doesn't matter who it is, they see themselves as nature's and lands' stewards, especially the rulers.

16. Would your WIP still work if you changed the gender of your MC?

Absolutely, if everything else in the MC's history is similar. There'd be different clothes and that's it.

14. Which of all the characters you’ve ever written are you most proud of?

I love them all, each and every one, except for the bad guys. Proud writing-wise because they are unique? Maybe my dragons in the other fantasy WIP that's hibernating.

13. What role does non-romantic love play in your story?

It's more subtle than the romantic part that gets its own arc. There is parental love, and the lack thereof, and many developing friendships that lead to a tight-knit community or found family.

9 How likely are you to embrace changes to language usage?

In my own language I accept new words pretty fast. But not the punctuation and spelling reform that happened in 1996. Some of it made sense, but most of it caused even more confusion. I wholeheartedly refused it. Which led to me being at a total mess with punctuation and spelling even in my own language. Which was something I was really good at before.
I wouldn't notice changes in English.

7 When did you think of the idea for your current project? Do you remember how it came about?

It was two years ago, and I wasn't in a good place. I needed something cozy, a bit of escapism. Of course, like all my plots, it got more complicated over time, but I still like to work on it. It's not very deep, a bit romantic, a bit adventurous... basically the way I always write. 🤷‍♀️

Edit: I completely forgot that the basic premise is based on a drabble I wrote for the Friday Fictioneers in the blogosphere.

5. Have you ever worked with collage?

Back in school and it was a mess. Never since. I'm far too ...uh... 'spontaneous' for something so sticky.

1002. Tell us a random fact (of any kind) about your WIP.

The world map is based on Scotese's paleo maps: the triassic-jurassic boundary, when the large continent Pangea began to break apart. My Silverworld has the same, much warmer climate but has modern (and fantasy) flora and fauna. The size of the world is that of earth, there is one moon same as ours because I'm too lazy to deal with the tides under more than one moon, and with figuring out their orbits.
