Today, we celebrate our oldest son's third birthday. In loving memory of him. We were blessed to have Hank with us in person for less than six months, but he remains with us in spirit everyday. It's tough not to wonder about what Hank would be like today. How would he act as a big brother? What things would he like to do? How much would he be speaking? What kind of foods would he get excited about? We'd be getting ready to find a preschool for him to attend this upcoming school year. Hank never failed to make those around him smile.
Hank, you are so incredibly loved by your Mom and I. Loved by your little brother who excitedly points at our pictures and videos of you. Loved by your grandparents and great grandparents, your aunts and uncles. Loved by family near and far. Loved by friends near and far. You are gone but not forgotten. We still carry you every day. We love you so much. Happy birthday.
