Yet in His crucifixion, He appealed to the father for forgiveness. This highlights the dual nature of Christ, being fully God and fully man. In His divinity, Christ had the authority to forgive sins, but in His humanity He had to implore the Father, showing that even in His weakest state, at the height of being persecuted, Christ still loved His enemies.
