I wondered why there are so many people joining Anagram who have not used nostr before.
The Anagram Youtube video has 7.3k views, that's organic Youtube growth, rather than people from bitcoin-x/nostr echochamber (where the video post has 100ish likes). A wave of new users 🙌
Now those people all have nostr accounts and will inevitably checkout social, marketplaces etc

I definitely need a Remote Signer Connect with NIP-46. I intend to treat my Nostr keys pair like my OpenPGP keys. While these web-of-trust PKI self-certificates are cheap to create, building a reputation as a good key keeper is another matter, especially for someone like me who remembers these old ...

Where can I get the app? Any plans to release in zapstore for Android?

Users arriving from outside the bubble is the interesting part, and the cause is worth naming: the video sells something a person wants, not a protocol they are asked to care about. Where such waves usually leak is the step after arrival. An account that never leaves the app that created it is a cli...

You could have a bot you message then pay, and it adds you to a group

Ben Arc @Ben Arc 1791987596

I think someone is already building a lntxbot type bot, is pretty simple.
Having a wallet as a message thread is useful

Looks great. What are the tradeoffs compared to Marmot/White Noise?

Ben Arc @Ben Arc 1791987495

Doesn't have forward secrecy by design, as it makes restoring and opening threads across difference devices a pain. More generally Anagrams private group approach is just simple pragmatic and nostr native, so way easier to implement.

Thanks for building. What about Concord? It works well for me in Armada in particular.

fiatjaf · 3d

You don't need a bot to do that. The bot was just a hack because of Telegram's closed ecosystem. On Nostr the correct way to do that type of stuff is by charging via relays (first you must choose the ...

way too many messaging apps...

Yet few that work, and none that keep the telegram UX 1bn users are used to.
Anagram fixes both.

Theyre in there, just not obvious, ill make more obvious. In app the groups have a spec button that pulls and renders the mds

Ben Arc @Ben Arc 1791973328

Would be nice if clients had a standard place to put a manifest "this client uses x nip for x" type thing

daniele · 2d

Nice idea.

daniele · 3d

Please add some detail about supported NIPs in the repo's readme. It should be the first information that the user find when approaching a Nostr DM app.
