Awe thanks mate. Changing that site is always terrifying. We moved the technobabbly site to nostr.org, and thought nostr.com should have a simple social client. Still needs work, but its pretty usable.
I think it made sense not to have a client on there initially, we didnt want to capture users from all other great clients, but I think its better not to technobabble users away, rather give them a simple client.

It works very well and it's very smooth. Great work!

Exactly. But it does appear to be a match made in heaven.

It’s permissionless, so we can’t stop them from spamming their BCash all they want. I still stand by my earlier statement, that we’ve done a very bad job at attracting a better group of anyones.

Succeeded for whom, Rockefeller-funded interoperability or the masses?

I genuinely think that new energy science with LENR is a promising approach that isn't being pursued sufficiently by the mainstream.

Interesting lore, I think there is a strong element of bitcointwitter2 here, I assumed it was on purpose, maybe it's a dev by dev case basis, but it could also be by accident. Devs are a bit basic and...

Although 50% of the people working on nostr early on were bitcoiners, it was our holiday away from bitcoin. We didnt want it to become a "bitcoin" thing and scare good talented folks away.
Also, micropayments in nostr as zaps went so well together, so that got pushed.

I saw it as a perfect storm of disaffected bitcoiners leaving Twitter and looking for something that supported not only their identity but demonstrated a real use case for a feature of bitcoin that was in need of a proving ground, and Nostr presented itself at the right moment, with a good deal of f...

Decentralization is key, like our ancestral diet, unowned and untamed.

Bchnostr is a bot attack using old leaked nsec's, fuck them!

im missing the zero sum game embarrassment part. a new community is growing using the nostr protocol. cool.

The original Nostr white paper (often called the "Nostr Manifesto" by fiatjaf) does not explicitly mention Bitcoin or payments as part of the core protocol.

You don’t have to like or trust Saylor. Of course not. You don’t need to buy his products or do anything to support him. But to those who are so vehemently against him while also claiming to be s...

He's shilling paper bitcoin with trusted third parties, using his influence to push ossification, packaging and recycling bitcoin concepts to sell his centralised crap, not contributing anything back to the projects that give bitcoin value. I couldnt give a crap about him, but its perfectly reasonable for someone who believes the actual tenets of bitcoin (designed to disrupt gatekeepers and ttps) to hate him.
"Libertarian, therefore people are free to be assholes and you can't criticize them" is rhetorically empty because it conflates freedom from coercion with freedom from social criticism.

I doubt I understood fully what you meant here but i may be one of the few people that don’t think he has _tried_ to sell paper bitcoin to anyone who was inclined to buy real bitcoin in any misleading way.
