I don’t disagree but everyone may not have that option. Maybe you’re too tired from a day of hard work, maybe you don’t have the time or maybe you just don’t have the groceries. And given how high grocery costs have become, ordering out may be comparatively cheaper.

I’ve been using the “Toogoodtogo” app a lot, bc many of the items are cheaper than if I bought the ingredients and cooked. They also have grocery stores- I got a lot of fresh fruit + veg from them for very cheap!
