Lnbits auto generates wallet ids (random hex) which via the logs could be traced to the scan ranges on the Oracle side. It needs it so that it can display UTXOs on the client side. Importantly spend private key stays on the device, so noone else can spend it. For a full total privacy, the solution can be hosted on your own infra, if in doubt what happens to that metadata.

Very much doubt that CEXs will ever implement them, as they need to stay compliant in a jurisdiction in which they operate and SPs make life much harder for on-chain surveillance companies they have to work with.

actually, don't run Knots, run Core..why?
because size of the OP_RETURN in Knots is 40 bytes while in Core is 80 bytes. For true freedom and privacy, Samourai Wallet used this field in Whirlpool activities and it is absolutely essential for the field to be 80 bytes. So if you are pro freedom and privacy stay with Core, despite Whirlpool no longer running since DoJ shackled Samourai Devs. Just need to be patient as Samourai shall rise again!!
Knots was probably agency's version of Core in order to stop Whirlpool which Luke was quite happy to oblige with.

"1. Samourai's Whirlpool and PayNym don't exist anymore 2. Knots datacarriersize can be set to 80 bytes if the node operator wants. Core can't filter inscriptions and other spam. Knots is simply a more feature complete version of Core 3. "Knots was probably agency's version of Core" a pure, unmitiga...
