General writing: - Habla .news is deteriorating but used to work great, attaches repetitive zap splits on editing though. - Yakihonne .com work great sometimes, but hangs on publishing a lot. Can't save drafts because it also hangs there. - Cypher .space works & even respects format on copy/paste but publishes with invalid eventIDs. - Untype .app is half built but always works to publish. If you've published once, the blank page upon returning to the app is actually an empty edit of the last publication so it's easy to overwrite your own work by accident. Always click 'new'. - Highlighter .com looks pretty, but has never successfully published for me. It's very nice for reading though. I don't end up there for that very often, as I do more reading from spontaneous discovery. - Obsidian extensions work great. I'm just not organized enough to use Obsidian regularly. More specialized writing: - Wikifreedia .xyz was flawless but I've only written there once. Nice reading experience. - Alexandria .gitcitadel .eu appears to work until I go looking for my publications, then I can't find them anywhere. - Zap .cooking might be very specific long-form but it works great. I really wish more reading places supported its output. Spoiled me wishes they'd continue developing it. As far as reading goes, I end up reading most in Amethyst because I'm being lazy when I'm reading & it formats damn well for a social app. Reading on npub .pro sites & oracolo .me sites is generally nicer if looking for a specific author's words, though. Reading on Alexandria is nice, but the colors are a little too similar for my eye comfort. Opposite of Primal, which is too high contrast for my eyes. I'm pretty neutral on other places that I've read. No news is good news, in that sense.

The relay was seeded with a set of users who were assigned a number of shares. Every reaction, repost, or authored note is considered to be a vote with all available shares from that voter for a piece of content. The voting action can be made from any client. Currently, a note must reach 25% of all available shares to move to the main feed. Once a note meets or surpasses that 25%, it's author gains 1 share and becomes a voting/contributing member. This one was initially set so that the seed voters maintain heavy voting weight for a longer length of time, since the goal is to create a welcoming onboarding space with some longevity. Over time, voting weight will shift & input from the relay's contributing community will take over control. You can check the current list of contributors/voters at https://relays.land/spatianostra . Anyone who is listed there can visit the staging area linked on the page to actively cast votes for nominated content by reacting or reposting. Even if not visiting the staging area, voting is done passively as described above. Shares are still quite low for most of the voted-in contributors but I encourage anyone who's interested in participating to try it out. I would love to hear what more people think of this concept. More so, I'd love to see people contribute content with the intention of earning more shares for themselves. This is still very much in an experimental phase, so any input is great. If someone's reasoning & commitment is strong enough, we might be able to persuade the captain of this ship to make some manual adjustments, though the concept is to avoid needing to do that. Eventually the threshold of the community vote will outstrip that of the founding voters.

Anonymous zaps. Likes. Private bookmarks. Option to reply and post available but not front and center. Private follow list. No follower lists. Dense, low contrast display with minimal or no animations. Top-notch profile views with tabs for content by type. If it's mobile, all action buttons would be in a column on the right to reduce accidental taps. Obviously good search and discovery but everything needs that.
