What is OP_CTV?
Check Template Verify. It was/is a soft for proposal made by Jeremy Ruben to add covenants to Bitcoin. It has since been reworked into new and improved softfork proposals.

Try stepping back from all the personalities on both sides and ask yourself if you want to mitigate spam or ignore it until nodes are essentially centralized due to increased cost and legal burden.

There is no stepping back from the personalities. 99% of "Bitcoiners" can't or won't read the code and do the intense intellectual inspection required to come to some clear answer. Same with most things in life. I will base my decision off of who has the best arguments(stories) and who I think has been consistent in their ideas on how to improve Bitcoin

Yeah, and maybe the reality is that the signal is actually the abundance of fence sitters. Maybe that just shows that not enough people care, like OP_CTV 5 years ago
