Ask how many times the cameras would need to be destroyed before it would become too costly to continue the program. Then hope for a vigilante that will destroy all the cameras on a regular basis.

No the cashier just said it wasn't working because of "technical issues"🙄🙄. I suspect it was bad education on the part of the shop owner. Always easier for a cashier to just say no if they don't understand

Not inviting dipshit three letter agencies to a slowly dying Bitcoin conference doesn't mean we think we can ban them from using Bitcoin. But it does send a message that we don't like them. Which used to be true.

Ultimately, I don’t want to tell merchants that I want to pay in bitcoin. I want to tap my phone/scan the QR, grab my things and be on my way. That should be the goal.

Yes! It would be nice to mention something like "thanks for accepting Bitcoin" to the cashier who otherwise has no idea that's what you are using to pay them.
