Until now, my website listed a Strike address. In the EU, Strike can ask who sent an incoming payment, citing the Travel Rule. Many of you pay pseudonymously via Nostr, and I want to keep it that way. On my side there is no longer a custodian asking who sent a payment.

Your bank balance is a claim, and your ETF units do not make you a shareholder of the companies inside. There is now a quiz for "The Decentralized System" with 30 questions in two rounds, from Bitcoin in self-custody to registered shares entered in the share register. After each answer it points you to the passage in the book, and it stores nothing.

Version 1.0 of the book is out as well. Before this edition the whole book was re-checked in German and English, time-critical details against primary sources. New, among other things: commodity ETFs as a small satellite next to a broad ETF, with disclosure of the funds I hold myself, and a section on a bank account in the country of Georgia.

Software scales in months. Turning a discovery into a producing mine often takes fifteen years.

That is one reason why commodity prices move in waves. High prices draw capital into new projects, years later the new supply arrives and pushes prices down. Then the industry cuts back, and out of that restraint grows the next shortage. The agricultural economist Arthur Hanau described the pattern in 1927 using the German pig market.
