it's going to be a long process, that will involve the supreme court, but one way to kick it off is for the Bundesrat (the legislation body representing the states) to have a majority on starting it, which is the thing that now could change.

I'm actually quite relieved about the results.

Meck-Pom got quite a lot of far-right votes, however, which sets it apart from other state elections recently is, that "progressive" parties (let's assume that for the SPD for now) can form a goverment, because all the conservatives didn't make it into parliament.

They could have a very constructive government, which would help a lot.

What I don't like is this strange obsession in the FOSS world to criticize something on a technical level if the problem is a social one.

Like nobody cares if something is a pile of bad shell scripts as long as it works. That's just your usual FOSS tech elitism and it sucks... deeply. It's the worst part of FOSS. It's the worst part of our communities and it needs to go.

If there is legitimate personal or social criticism, then just focus on that? Everything else is besides the point

Like... I think it's important to point out what kind of people we don't want to have within our communities.

But I think it's even more important to point out the type of people we do want to have without our communities.

And I know, I'm bad at this myself. But I do think the lack of public appreciation, or appreciation in general is an issue we need to figure out. And we need to create role models we are collective proud of having within our communities.
