Flex tape to the rescue!

Coconut Cream was selected by Gary Zill from his breeding program in Boynton Beach, FL. It is one of only a few patented mangos in existence, and was a cross between the 'Edward' and 'Gary'.

Mango flavor ranges from sour-tart for unripe mangos to naturally sweet for ripe mangos.
To choose a sweet, ripe mango, gently squeeze the fruit. A ripe mango will give slightly. A medium-ripe mango will be somewhat firm, and an unripe mango will be very firm to the touch.
Additionally, look for a mango with an equal distribution of green, yellow, and red coloring on the skin, which indicates it is ripe but not overripe.
