Their are too many regimes around the world bashing immigrants. It's something that Aotearoa does not need. Without our immigrant population our country would not function and thrive.

It's a disastrous populism driven focus that encourages division, hatred, and intolerance. If it wasn't for foreigners large parts of New Zealands economy would struggle. Think health, transport, hospitality, agriculture... The list goes on.

And, as you say, their is little evidence so far that AI is ever likely to be a viable proposition. It looks a bit like the AI corporates are all part of a giant Ponzi scheme.
