Imho docker is a trap. It makes you think it simplifies things because the initial install is quick. But everything that comes next is unnecessarily complex.

I'm often suspicious of Docker. It seems we keep solving the "containerization" problem over and over with virtual machines, containers, etc., and this makes me think we're going about software in the wrong way.

Lightning wallets have a much broader use case.

the point of doing it over nostr instead of over the LNDhub API is to avoid vendor lock-in.

Thats another reason to be a NIP. All of this is saved on relays. Any client can just implement it and move the user forward.

Glad to see him make the switch. Hope other SSB devs do the same.

I did like that SSB can work P2P over bluetooth etc. when the Internet is gone. But I'm sure someone will come up with a P2P mode NIP for Nostr sooner or later.

You won't have that choice. If people have your keys, they can do everything.
