Damn, I have the same problem, even though I don't have anything stable in the bitcoin world right now. I could do a lot of things though, not necessarily technical either.
It seems that people haven't been picking up on MACSEC at all in the privacy space, even though it provides protocol level anonymity (mac addresses are easily changed and reveal nothing about the communicating parties).
MACSEC can be wrapped and lifted to eg. ipv6 GRE frame and transported over Tor with onioncat. If you wanna go i2p there is garlicat for that.
This would create a really private and easily used way to connect different LANs via Tor.

Not really unless the websocket nonsense is superceded by something that is more resilient and could be ran over tor properly. Also all the relays require a DNS address due to TLS, which is also the reason that using them over Tor is really hard, due to the timing constraints of it.
