Is it me or running #meshcore is significantly more power efficient than #meshtastic? I have a wismesh tag that lasts about 3 days on full charge with meshtastic but I'm only seeing a daily energy drop of 10% with meshcore!
Help me understand this #btcpayserver vulnerability. This only affected instances with lnd as the lightning backend right? So if you had a firewall blocking external access to the lnd node besides the lightning protocol port (9735 or whatever was configured for the node), then even if the node's macaroons were breached, this would not have resulted in loss of funds?
This is the major issue with off-ramps and the solution (in my opinion) is to NOT need banks. Off-ramp solutions that allow you to pay directly for your everyday needs (no-KYC of course) is the way forward.
Every “upgradable” smart contract has a back door that allows the author to change the code. So it’s a fair assessment to claim that they did have control.
In deed. Those shortcuts include storing your password and 2FA TOTP in the same place. Ideally you shouldn’t but I think the real benefit of 2FA is to prevent account compromise due to password reuse.
