Oh Mullenweg exploded again.

The thing is: He criticizes processes and slow pace (which one can do) but his solution basically is no process and just winging it. Which - given wordpress runs millions of people's websites - is just childish and irresponsible. It's the classical "strong man" argument.

Wordpress' processes might be problemattic ( ;) ) but that also stems from lack of vision and lack of establishing modes and spaces for experimentation where people are not afraid that Mullenweg is gonna publicly shit on them for not loving LLMs enough.

The problem is still weak leadership. Who is the leader again?

Was war die letzte politische "Reform", an die ihr euch erinnern könnt, die nicht einfach nur "Kürzungen" bedeutete?

Platforms are not trying to combat "AI slop" to give you a better experience. They do it because "real training data that is unaffected by LLMs and therefore does not make the model collapse" is one of the few paths towards making money currently.

Literally: The code-assistant sales pitch to business is that you can take open source code without ever having to read or obey the license it was released under.

Code-assistants are one of the biggest privatization and theft from the commons we have seen in a long time.

The Open Source community never learned that big tech is not trustworthy.
