@nprofile1q... I think the whole thing of poisoning the inputs is pretty pointless -- there's just too few people doing it to make any difference. The font tricks it uses are amusing but not original.

The website, and the FAQ in particular, though, gave me a strong feeling that they just wanted press coverage to shake loose some VC money, and nothing else. Something's off.

@nprofile1q... I'm not sure I'll be able to find the thread now, but as I understand it, screen readers don't actually read the pixels on the screen, but read the underlying text (which is mangled).

@nprofile1q... Indeed. The whole point of the butterfly metaphor is that after a certain point (amount of time), causes are unknowable, so they might as well be a butterfly.

It's not saying that there's a point of leverage that you could use to produce a desired outcome if you were sufficiently well informed, because there's no such thing as sufficiently well informed.
