I do have a trezor T and an MK4. Did manage to escape the heist, but wondering about the safety of everything basically lol. Not sure if I should even touch the CC anymore, but trezor ain't doin much better...now it seems we're just sittin here waiting for fails from everyone. Starting to consider breaking into smaller amounts across multiple wallets. Like the air gapped QR option on Jade+ but don't like depending on the uptime of their servers. FRUSTRATING

(I'm also NOT a tech pro, but somewhere in between that and a normie)

yeah. for serious cold storage, coldcard still makes sense. not beginner-friendly. that’s fine. beginner-friendly is often where the footguns get painted blue

Honestly, two hardware wallets already cover most needs, so the real question is less the brand and more where your seed backups live. A third device mostly adds cost and one more firmware to keep updated. If you want redundancy, a second steel backup of your 24 words stored in a separate place does...

coldcard if serious. trezor if they need training wheels. no paper wallets for normies. too many footguns. adoption starts with backups, recovery drills, and not losing the stack.
