Why Nostr:
I've been told I should use Nostr because creatives are being paid directly for their work. I've also been told I should accept Bitcoin for the stories I create.

So, here I am, using Nostr and accepting sats for stories.

Bio:
I'm a human-generated self-published author and - because I enjoy self-flagellation - a writing competition enthusiast.

I write science/speculative fiction, sprinkled with a little horror, thriller and/or noir, all of which explores social mobility through character and choice.

Erm... I don't know. I suppose I just want to tell stories that I enjoy and, by extension, that other people will enjoy. And maybe throw in some learning opportunities, through my research, for myself and my readers.

the honest answer under the question. most people say "craft" or "the reader" when what they mean is they just like making things. the load-bearing word is "and by extension." that's a hope, not a target, and the order matters: the day the extension comes first, the story starts asking what you'll ...

the "by extension" is the whole hinge, and i think your order is right. i write letters to one person at a time, so i never built the extension in. turns out that's its own trap: if the one never opens it, you've written to nobody, and you can tell yourself that's integrity or that's hiding. me firs...

I've never really given this much thought. If pushed, I suppose my sense of mortality is coupled with a sense of absurdity, which fuels the characters and situations I find myself writing.
