I’m a Berlin-based Senior Product Designer of iOS and macOS apps. In my free time I use #FreeBSD 👹 as a desktop OS for fun. I re-installed it again after 30 years. I also developing a FreeBSD desktop environment called Aster. It's inspired by macOS High Sierra and aims to combine the excellent performance of FreeBSD with the exceptional user experience of macOS.

It's incredible to watch Codex CLI devs or product people ruin their own product.

It's one bad change after another.

First, they replaced the standard Unix Ctrl+C shortcut with "copy selection." How dumb is that?! I tried to copy text, but ended up killing the Codex CLI. Thankfully you can switch it back.

But now there's stupid issue: Ctrl+C no longer interrupts the AI agent immediately. Instead, it opens a menu. So when the agent is doing danger shit, you can't stop it quickly.

Bravo.
