Joy is not necessarily resistance, dancing is not necessarily resistance. They become resistance only when they stand against oppression, only when your dancing stops the encroaching of the wealthy and powerful, only when your joy accompanies other acts of disruption and rebellion.

There is a huge danger of becoming a conformist, of dulling your critique, if you take joy or dancing or even community as intrinsically being acts of resistance.

You are whitewashing the genocide by saying that what the IOF did was destroying the resistance's weapons factories, and that the destruction of hospitals, basic infrastructure and homes was some sort of collateral effect and not the desired objective.
