Also splurge on an organic pillow, the way my wife convinced me, wasshe pointed out you lay on it, breathing in for 6 to 8 hours every night, you don't want to breath in all that toxic shit they put in mattresses and pillows. Sold me. Good luck.

No worries, hope you can save the tree. Btw looking at the picture I’m getting a whacky idea 😬 See if you can find a branch that can fit between the spilt, like a pointy wedge, stick that branch in the split, just like tree grafting and then tape it nicely.

You're gonna have to prune that tree back. Hard. Modern varieties aren't designed to live without humans keeping them trimmed. Too much weight of fruit without a corresponding increase in structural ...

Thank you. In hindsight, I should have realized that, but was just so happy to see so much fruit. Should I cut one whole half of the split off? Or do you think simply trimming both sides extensively will be enough and it will self half?

Bought this fruit tree for my wife 6 years ago, this was the first year it was actually bearing fruit for us. And then I just noticed this! Anyone know, can I save the tree? Any tips or suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated!

Oh wow it’s splitting right in the middle. I don’t know if it would work but see if you can prune the lower branches that are pulling it down and then tie the upper branches to salvage it. But the tear is exposed so not sure if the tree can repair itself.

Yes you can save it. This is what I'd do: First take some weight off by cutting off some of the branches that are putting the most stress on the tree. Then I'd pull the wound close togetherwith a ratchet strap up a little bit on the 2 main branches. Then wrap the wound together to get a tight...
