Trailcam has been added to nostr somehow..not sure how it's done tho nostr:nprofile1qqs27r3r4x4aqswak90d323ux9sve0yc9wnqujxd4q867kwvc5wza3qr542n8 If you know the RSS feed of stuff (not just twitter) you can also add them to atomstr.data.haus it's a bit janky, certainly jankier than a dedicated R...

I wouldn't touch it personally, but I wouldn't short it either. More because of the counterparty risks than because I don't think Saylor knows what he's doing. Custodial bitcoin, held by a company, whose stock is really handled by a transfer agent and the DTCC, held at a brokerage, any of whom will...

Can anyone give concrete examples of how STRC is risky ? Genuinely trying to steelman why STRC could implode.

iirc they can pay the dividend in perpertuity as long as BTC goes up by at least 2% a year on average. (as it stands now)

However, that could change if they irresponsibly issued way too much STRC tho.

But if there's too much demand for STRC & it trades above $100, they don't HAVE to issue more, they can just lower the dividend rate.

Sorry, didn't rly answer ur question...

Using Bitcoin now according to the FT

“Once the email arrives and Iran completes its assessment, vessels are given a few seconds to pay in bitcoin, ensuring they can’t be traced or confiscated due to sanctions,” - Hamid Hosseini, a spokesperson for Iran’s Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products Exporter’s Union

Iran’s use of Bitcoin for oil payments is a pragmatic workaround to sanctions, but it’s also a test case for BTC as a tool of economic warfare—not just a hedge. I recently read an article arguing BTC’s role in conflict zones is more about bypassing controls than preserving value. Worth consi...
