Just going to make an update on yesterday’s rant.
I have not looked at notifications, I was in such a mood, still am, but it’s looking a lot brighter and I’m not ready to be distracted.
My brain finally decided to join the mission to get my albyhub back online.
I got backups of key and nwc for albyhub.
I wanted to nuke the whole thing and just add the backups to a fresh OS.
I could do that and it might work, but that would be very reckless when I can just flash to another sdcard and add the backups there.
Save the first sdcard incase it doesn’t work, at least then I can fallback to fixing the original. Or if I could figure out how I broke it, maybe I won’t do it again? big maybe.
This hub was working fine so I’ve been fixated on trying to get this one to work again, since it was working, should be able to get it to work again?
It never struck me to just make another…
Crossing my fingers, if it works, and if I didn’t manage to transfer all my sats to the wrong address I’ll be zapping like Zeus in no time. Probably going to be some time, but at least I’m still trying, been feeling like giving up so many times already.

If you have your keys, the liklihood of losing your lightning channel sats is very low. Be patient and seek help if you cant find the amswer yourself. Alby is generally very responsive and responsible...

Well I’ve been having the worst experience.
Trying to get in on with @Alby
Setting it up albyhub on raspberry pi, transferring funds, trying to open a channel, thinking I made a mistake, I opened another thinking I could just close as the funds were, after all within tx alby wallet, or so I thought.
I got no confirmation on «close channel», but I got the option to redeem Onchain Funds, this was very poorly explained so I thought it would redeem from the transfer address from the channel tx, really it asked for the address I wanted it redeemed to, I was idiot I know, but there was no indication that funds would be transferred out of my possession.
So I managed to transfer all my redeemed funds out of my wallet without knowing this is what this function would do.
Not receiving funds back on close channel I thought maybe I needed to add receiving balance so I opened an invoice to «pay with another wallet», I thought this invoice would pay the fee and place the rest in my saving account, I was an idiot again, transferred to much for the invoice to registrer so now the sats just sitting there in there invoice address, did not increase my «receiving capacity», the payment has to be exact, again I did not know this and there was no indication it had to be exact.
Then my albyhub started acting up, disconnecting not allowing me to reconnect. So I update raspberry and albyhub, now I cannot even unlock my wallet, can only ssh into raspberry, albyhub.service fails, updating albyhub and rebooting only freezes the raspberry when alby starts running.
I lost more than 500k sats trying to get this running.
Now they are telling me that if I cannot unlock my albyhub, I cannot retrieve any funds I still might have. I dont think I have any funds left, to me it seemed all my channel funds was transferred out of my wallet with the redeem function. I asked them to look at my blockchain transactions to confirm this, but they are either not looking, or not telling.
Like they could just look at the transaction and see what happened with the redeeming of funds… So then I’m thinking they are not telling because they see the funds are lost and don’t to come and be outright like yeah, those coins are gone, sorry for inconvenience.
I got fucked trying to wrap my head around this and If you’re an idiot like me.
I would not recommend.
I know this amount is not a lot, but to me as a student - I could’ve easily lived off this for a month or two.

I will have to check out v4v, as for nostr I agree sharing musical content might be a good idea as it’s not super saturated like all the other platforms.

Norway - to be able to own a gun that is not meant for hunting, you need to get e permit for that weapon and dyou need to be an active member of a shooting club, if not - you do not have a reason to own such a gun. And I think this is mostly pistols and small firearms, nothing too crazy. Nothing automated.
Now if you actually get a permit is not a given, they can just say «sorry but we don’t like your face».
