Putting a twelve year old on SSRIs should bring upon the MD who did it up on child abuse charges at the very least. Read this here bullshit.

After admitting her daughter, medical professionals were in touch with Gadd less than twelve hours later, recommending the use of Prozac. Initially hesitant, the psychiatrist that Gadd was in touch with eventually convinced her to put her daughter on the medication, telling her “It’s the safest drug out there,” with the psychiatrist even insisting that they would put their own child on it.
Gadd then told me that her daughter used the same medication eight months prior on five milligrams and expressed that she “didn’t like how she felt on it.” The psychiatrist insisted that Gadd “didn’t give it long enough,” and even put in the medical records that Gadd herself said that she didn’t give it long enough. Gadd agreed to go through with having her daughter take ten milligrams of Prozac, but three days later she found out that it was increased to twenty milligrams without her approval and that she “found her name on verbal consent that she had never seen.”
By the time Gadd found out about this, the damage was done and it was too late.
