An alternative real-world, globally scalable, non-monetary use-case for bitcoin mining technology through participation in frequency regulation ancillary service markets for direct grid stabilization

A Flexionics Energy AG desenvolveu e opera 14MW de ativos de regulação de frequência ligados à rede elétrica nacional da Suécia.

Nos últimos 12 meses, o grupo realizou mais de 11.000 ativações, com mais de 250 GWh de capacidade comprometida e mais de 30 GWh de energia efetivamente entregue para manter a estabilidade da rede.

A empresa planeia triplicar a sua capacidade na Suécia e expandir-se pela Europa, com o objetivo de apoiar a rede elétrica, revitalizar o setor eólico no norte da Escandinávia, reduzir a perda de energias renováveis e acelerar a transição energética.

An alternative real-world, globally scalable, non-monetary use-case for bitcoin mining technology through participation in frequency regulation ancillary service markets for direct grid stabilization

Flexionics Energy AG has developed and operates 14MW of frequency regulation assets connected to the Swedish national grid.

Over the past 12 months, the group has delivered more than 11,000 activations, over 250 GWh of committed capacity, and over 30 GWh of real activation energy deliveries to maintain grid stability.

The company plans to triple its capacity in Sweden and expand across Europe to support grid stability, revive the wind sector in northern Scandinavia, reduce renewable curtailment, and accelerate the energy transition.
