Respect 🫡 I’d be too old after the 1000s of hours training 😅 otherwise I’d be considering it seriously.

When I lived in London over 15 years ago finance people were training to be plumbers because it was so in demand and so highly paid.

yeah i've watched some of those demos. honestly makes me wonder what happens to people learning those skills right now. does it change what you'd want to build?

In a funny way I think you might see a lot of people recreating their old employers business (“spite coding”) but for a niche. Someone much more intelligent than I predicted that niches will be much more viable to support because of the reduced startup costs.

I’ve been seeing how far I can get with a product I know well “just for fun”. Bootstrapping a basic version while having a class of wine.

If you know it at a technical level and the ins and outs of a business you might see a lot of very lean startups attack the existing players in a space.

It’s just super fun. Having coding knowledge still gives you an edge but coding was a limitation to your ideas it vanishing as one!

yeah the spite angle is real. so when you're building that thing right now, are you finding gaps the existing players missed or just doing it way leaner?
