These autistics behaved pretty much like a classic superhero would, and this was described as a mental defect?! You've got to be f***ing kidding me. Rele...

@nprofile1q... oh gee. I got seriously sleep-deprived because my baby didn't sleep much for his first three years of life. I forgot words, lost about half my IQ points, and some really bad days hallucinated. It completely broke me. I might be able to relate a little. your life sounds so much worse even than that.

I really like your style. Especially how you work with type placement, style and deforming very creatively to convey feelings.

Not so sure about the brown-based color scheme, personally, but that's a question of taste. It does fit together well, it just feels a bit... bland maybe.

Hey @nprofile1q... ! I have a problem, and wonder if any of you might have similar problems, but maybe, hopefully, also a solution to go with it?

After intense days, my body decides that what I need now is not a full night of sleep, but intensely processing my stress at 4am. It takes the form of my mind being wide awake, looking for problems to solve. Could be real to-dos, but if I get those out of my mind, it'll reliably find other things to ruminate about.

Has anybody found a way to avoid that and tell their bodies to go to sleep? It compounds and leads to a constantly deteriorating state after a few nights like that.

I've learnt about body scans, muscle relaxation and breath work in therapy, but those don't help much: my body is decently relaxed, but my mind is wide awake and racing.

How the hell am I supposed to even argue with this?

Coworker about accessibility (in the context of "why don't devs/their bosses book the accessibility training for frontend developers we offer?"):

"for me as a front-end developer, accessibility is a niche issue. I have a hundred other problems to deal with. The fact that a small group of 2–4% of the market has trouble using my website is, frankly, none of my concern. Especially when it requires a huge amount of extra effort to implement and maintain. Either a UI library handles it for me, or I simply don’t do it."

I'm quite helpless in the face of this major fail of both human decency AND work ethic. And I assume they aren't a singular phenomenon, they just trust me enough to speak frankly.
