You will defend Libre RealyGhey for a minority that forces garbage on to a everyone's nodes via pref peering and OOB direct submission; but then rail against 110 for being a minority that can force a majority to "change consensus". How do you reconcile these 2?

I would agree that the precedent is not optimal. but terrible? that's just one opinion. There are other very bad precedents and factors at play that you are not paying enough attention or considering properly IMO.
I think that the precedent of allowing an economically illiterage smug clique of corrupt devs to continue degrading the monetary quality of Bitcoin, not fixing bugs, leaving open attack vectors and exploits, increasing the legal and moral risk, encumbering nodes and endangering node decentralization into the future... those are worse. WAY worse precedents. Each one of those is worse IMO than what you think is a "terrible precedent".
The change is good you accept that. And the only possible bad outcomes would be real in extreme scenarios where enough mining pools get misled and stuck in rigid ideological restraints like the ones you so effectively spread. If the support from the broad community in pressuring the pools to signal BIP110 is strong enough ALL the doomsday scenarios go away and we have a clean non disruptive upgrade that would be good for Bitcoin and the world.

you guys are screeching about “no personal attacks” while constantly lying about my character nonstop 😂
Kiawtzin profile picture
Ignore the personal attacks Matt. Its true There's been no shortage of those from all sides. If I said something personally offensive to you I take it back. I honestly think you are not a bad apple. Or malicious. Its just that you are not showing your best in your engagement with this issue. I'm pointing to you a video that has ZERO insults or personal attacks. All I'm saying is deal WITH THE ARGUMENTS of the BIP stop engaging with strawmen.

Matt. Respectfully.
I know you are a busy man but I'm willing to bet that nothing that you have to do (workwise) is more important right now than to engage with these arguments and contend with them. Matthew has done an in depth reaction to your anti BIP110 position. In my opinion reflects very well the feelings and thoughts of most plebs and points out your shortcomings in understanding the proposal and its implications. You have already wasted enough time ignoring this problem and avoided engaging with it. The stakes are now higher than ever and the danger is real. I encourage you to DO THE WORK that you haven't done. Take the time to listen to it if you care for Bitcoin. You are willing to accuse us of being bad faith, and saying we're attacking Bitcoin etc... the least you can do is to hear what we are saying, respond to our arguments and stop beating the strawman you have inside your head.
I look forward to your reaction of the reaction video.... or whatever.

Right, Matt's answer is either lazy and he doesnt understand the issue or it's intentional and malicious. Either way, to attack Mechanic and Luke for trying to take over bitcoin with no proof is not staying humble and stacking sats.
MrHodl · 2w
Its permsionless. Yes. Attackers will try to attack. And i wish them nothing but ill will.
Kiawtzin profile picture
I was going to argue that you are confusing the defenders with the attackers... But then I remembered that you are MrHodl and have proven to be unable to understand that or acknowledge any argument. There's no point in wasting my time. All I'm going to say is that maybe, just maybe your'e just an economically iliterate stubborn opinionated pigheaded jerk and not a malicious corrupted actor. I decide to give you the benefit of the doubt. We will see.

The entire reason you have a 55% threshold is because you know it doesn't have enough support you toothless midget.
Kiawtzin profile picture
It's a permissionless system. You dont have to like it and you dont have to run BIP110 and you dont have to mine there. Why are you such a Karen about what other people run in their nodes dude?. It's PER MI SSION LESS! If it's a silly dead on arrival idea as you have said 1000 times then it'll never activate. Dont worry! And if it does... Then remember that you are free to GFY + URSF = GFURSF

Friendly reminder that in the Bitcoin hierarchy nodes are at the top. The nodes are the boss, not the miners. The nodes are the ones who decide the changes NOT the miners. Nodes set the rules and miners obey those rules. The nodes PAY the miners. The miners are the node's employees. Never forget that because there is now an attempt by spammers, corrupted influenzors, to psyop plebs, to subvert this very healthy hierarchy and to portray miners as if they can oppose BIP110 and decide if it activates or not. THE TRUTH IS THAT MINER'S CAN'T. DONT FALL FOR IT, ITS A PSYOP. If the nodes want BIP110, then the miner's will obey because they are not stupid. They know who's paying them 3.125BTC/block. They know who gives Bitcoin value. They wont risk that to earn pennies mining big OpReturns.
