Once again, @nprofile1q... has a #ChronoTrigger arrangement using instruments from Square's other games on PlayStation that I'm recommending. This is a bit early in the game's soundtrack to reveal the full theme for Lavos (tracks from the initial visit to 2300 A.D. were posted recently), but the synthesized voice is a noteworthy change. It doesn't quite match the piano, and both sound a little more lonely for it. It might also be representing the voice of a specific character, but that's major spoiler and speculation territory.

If you want to know way too much about #SonicTheHedgehog3 background music for the first act of Ice Cap Zone, here's where to start. First, Brad Buxer based it upon a (then) unreleased track by his band The Jetzons, and there have been multiple mashups of the track with "Hard Times" after it was finally released through iTunes. Here's one of the oldest.

I recommend not watching The Dark Crystal too soon, then. Honestly, that's probably more due to the writing than the creature effects. It's also a bit less distracting from the plot than David Bowie in tight pants trying to seduce a teenager during a song. I saw both of those movies for the first time as an adult, also. But, I do remember an old webcomic called "Alas" where one of the characters learned contact juggling just by rewatching Labyrinth, and now I consider that one of the more believable things about the character.

I was going through the D&D and #OCReMix playlists by @nprofile1q... when I came across this Metroid Prime 2 arrangement by Michael Hudak I hadn't heard before in the "Broken Tech" playlist. Sanctuary Fortress is far from non-functional, but the source already had some beautiful combinations of machinery and melody. The choir is absent, but the aesthetic of the fictional place is kept intact with the glitching.
