Getting ready for a big event in early Nov with local artisans! 🧵✨

A quick throwback to field research and community art in Mexico 🇲🇽🎨
Revaluing aging through art and intergenerational dialogue has always been at the core of our work. Bringing people together to share knowledge, create, and reflect on culture build strong foundations for any community project 🫶

New prototype in testing! 🏄‍♂️🧵
Leonor just designed and finished this custom surfboard carry bag. It blends durable canvas with traditional hand-woven textiles, featuring adjustable straps for comfortable transport.
We are testing different functional designs in our workshop to connect local craftsmanship with practical, everyday use.
What do you think of this design? Zap ⚡

Hands-on progress 🛠️🧵
Leonor took charge of repairing the first sewing machine, replacing the head, needles, and more with the parts bought in downtown SS.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group kept working on their embroidery projects. Workshop coming together step by step! 🇸🇻⚡

I set up and fund the initial lightning channels (~2) for each senior student using Phoenix wallet. From there, we practice hands-on:
📱 Creating multiple invoices
🤝 Sending P2P payments among peers
🧾 Analyzing network fees & reviewing transaction history in real time
Self-custody isn't taught just in theory; it's mastered through practice 🙌

Come and say hello 🤓🫶🏻
