Just trying to spread the good word about IPv6. Member of an obscure technical group on the internet. Still remember when it was all the ARPANET. DNS/DNSSEC.

Love pretty much any musical instrument with strings and frets (and a few with just strings). Play/build/repair as many of them as I can.

we need to stop sugar coating and trying to gift wrap it as "save the kids". it's not "age verification", it's "identity tracking and control". if we keep calling it that every time politicians try to sugar coat it, the general public might grab a clue what the real agenda is.

when i was a kid, m80s were legal in many states, including SC. i seem to recall it was the equivalent of 1/4 stick of dynamite? so, not exactly military grade but definitely more than "homemade". definitely able to shred a mailbox or really make a mess in a toilet. (not that i ever personally saw these...)

i'd hope there were enough darwinian experiences to make them illegal everywhere now but wouldn't shock me to learn they still get sold on the grey market.

democrats have let the GOP define communist, socialist, and liberal and made them shy away from correctly using them. progressive is another term that is no longer useful.

not sure what i want to call them, but i won't politicians that care more about the 95% then rich campaign contributors, that believe in education, universal health care, housing for all, UBI, and making rich/corporations pay a fair proportion of the tax burden.

i'd go with "a good person" but i'm sure the religious wingnuts would completely ruin that as a useful description too.
