Just trying to spread the good word about IPv6. Member of an obscure technical group on the internet. Still remember when it was all the ARPANET. DNS/DNSSEC.

Love pretty much any musical instrument with strings and frets (and a few with just strings). Play/build/repair as many of them as I can.

micro$quish owns way too much of the market to dismiss any security issue.

EU and CN making moves towards linux is interesting but we're years away from microsoft bugs not mattering.

the myths that reagan and the GOP somehow still keep selling to the voting public:

- GOP are better with money
- any private solution is better and more cost effective than a govt solution

over and over data shows neither of these are even close to correct. yet somehow, the voters just keep falling for it, like charlie brown falling for lucy holding the football.

unpopular opinion: software developers were too comfortable for too long. they didn't unionize when everybody told them to. they didn't use the time they had when they were on top to implement meaning...

the privileged workers can be fooled into thinking it's partly their company and that they will share in the wealth. nope. not even close.

there are owners and workers. workers need unions so they can protect themselves when the owners do the seemingly inevitable exploitation of said workers.

government regulation can help but most of the worker "rights" we take for granted now came from the blood and pain of folks unionizing and fighting the owners.
