*Balancing Natural Inequality with Social Harmony*
“Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” — Gen 4:15
1. The Human Dilemma
The fall of man introduced a tendency to blame others (scapegoating) for our own failings or sins. When God created humans with unequal capacities, He created a tension: How do we achieve “fairness of outcome” without institutional tyranny? To answer this, we must compare how Capitalism and Communism handle the natural inequality of man and the divine deterrent of the Mark of Cain.
2. The Capitalistic Path: The Witness of Higher Order
In this system, the government’s mandate is defined by its absence. The State is not a master, but a witness.
A. Economic Non-Interference: Recognizing that production comes easier to some than others, the state refuses to penalize the high-performer. There are no “leveling” taxes. This forces a culture of self-reliance rather than envy-based scapegoating.
B. The “Cain’s Mark” as Meta-Deterrent: This is not a police-state revenge. It is the Fear of God. The Mark is a universal signal that the individual is off-limits.
C. The 7-Fold Restitution: Restitution is fixed at seven times the value of the harm. This applies to both physical violence and economic theft (fraud). It is a “divine math” that makes the cost of transgression so high that even the most powerful producer is restrained by a debt they cannot afford to pay.
3. The Communistic Path: The Pecking Order and Control
In a Communistic system, fairness is attempted by elevating humans to positions of control to force productivity and redistribute resources.
A. The System of Guaranteed Participation (UBI): To balance unequal production, the system utilizes Natural Capital.
Example: If a mining company uses autonomous drills, the dividend captures the value of the minerals—the “God-given” asset—rather than taxing the human labor that no longer exists.
B. The Corruption Risk: The flaw in this system is the “pecking order.” Humans in high positions often use the “fairness” mandate as a mask to control others. Without the “Fear of God” (the 7-fold penalty) applied to the controllers, the system reverts to scapegoating the productive class to satisfy the pecking order.
4. Synthesis: How do we “Get Along”?
True fairness of outcome is achieved when the government “backs away” from the production process but remains a steadfast administrator of the 7-fold Law.
Fairness of Outcome: Achieved through the Social Dividend of natural resources (Common Grace).
Social Peace: Achieved through the 7-Fold Deterrent, which ensures that the naturally “stronger” man cannot exploit the “weaker” man, and the “weaker” man cannot use the state to “slay” (scapegoat) the producer.
By applying the Mark of Cain to all interactions, we replace the “revenge” of the state with a cosmic accountability that allows the unequal to live as equals.
