Proprietor of QWeb Ltd and Bouche Chocolate. A software and game programmer since 1996, these days I mostly make #websites and #chocolate, manage #Linux servers, and drink #whisky. But #gamedev is still my big love.

Currently very slowly working on Argentauria (in #Godot ), an open-world MMORPG inspired by medieval life, tools, and architecture.

Random question, but does anyone have a recommendations for a WARM wintercoat? I'm talking ready for the arctic type warm. ๐Ÿปโ€โ„๏ธ I'm so sick of getting scammed by these flimsy polyester napki...

@nprofile1q... polyester is ok for repelling water, but it's a terrible insulator and doesn't allow your skin to breathe, so you just get itchy and sweaty despite not actually being warm. Look for 100% wool instead! Ideally a wool overcoat - the length works against both rain and wind and wool is so good that you don't even need a thick/heavy one.

It's even better for bedding because it regulates rather than just cooks. So a wool duvet is good all year round, cooling you in summer and warming in winter.

It's possible that I've decided I want to build an 8bit computer. Probably a Z80, because ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

And an EEPROM programmer. And an LED based 'screen'. And maybe make a joystick.

And then learn Z80 ASM so that I can make something to run on it.

I have no real experience with electronics besides building that bird camera which now just sits in the wine cellar. And connecting a Pi + solar panel to an MPPT isn't quite the same as building a whole computer is it?

I don't even own a soldiering iron.
