For what it's worth, after this petty meltdown, an equally petty putdown was given in lieu of my initial intent to just leave a short and sweet retort of moderate wittiness.

It's trying to be the lolbert equivalent to Blucry (both fake decentralized tech and/or protocol that try to pretend otherwise), which is also trying to compete with the fediverse by claiming how much "better" it does things compared to existing tech, when the few things it actually DOES do objectively better could be implemented in any of the existing solutions that would tremendously benefit from it.

I'm someone who has some idea of the kind of guy John is, both from external hearsay and direct observation of his overall temperament over three years; I don't disagree with his claim that the majority of Nostr developers are elitist, autistic pricks who deify what has been proven to be a compromised currency for twelve years and counting.

It's just the fact he's just as much of an elitist autistic asshole (if not a LARGER one) as those he holds in contempt, and instead of taking his ball home and only sharing it with people he liked, decided to leave it and come back with something far worse than what he claims continuously to be shit whilst pretending it's not.

There's a word for that kind of person and personality.
