@nprofile1q... excellent article and a beautiful grenade. a little earlier, for similar intent, we ran a network traffic dissector tool ntop and publically exposed and rendered the results back to all people that connected to an open community wireless project in east london, allowing them to see the full impact of their neighbours and themselves interacting online without encrypting their activities.
