Seconded, wonderful show. If it's not already on your radar, my wife and I started watching Kaiju Girl Caramelise and it's been fantastic so far.

Knew of the cult, but not other details before the video. Agreed it's concerning.

I've eaten there, though it's been at least a couple years and the food was good, as is their coffee/tea/root beer. No clue if they have to pay anything for the real estate via a lease/rent.

It's usually about purity/innocence when there's significance placed on virginity. It's a common enough theme across religions there's probably something behind it, even if you just look at it from a risk reduction standpoint at a time where STDs had no real way of being treated/cured. Didn't know about them giving free food to law enforcement, but kind of a brilliant tactic.

A younger me would have been more certain than I would claim now. I'm certain we have souls and there's something after, though the exact shape of that is something I don't think we can know for certain, even with reports of those who have literally died and come back. I don't think any single religion has all the answers, as they're all institutions of humanity in the end.

That's just plain sloppy, in more than one sense

Nice choice of anime, been watching that one with my wife

If you have space/time, a biosand filter can at least take care of sediment and microorganisms, with a lifetime in decades. For something more compact, you'd want something like a Sawyer 0.1 micron filter, or a silver impregnated ceramic filter.

How much water? We can survive 3 weeks without food, but only 3 days without water. If you're in an area with enough rainfall, could be worth considering a filter, at least

Yes, totally a coincidence that a bunch of governments all thought it was a good idea to pursue age verification surveillance at the same time

I always take such claims with a grain of salt

That looks like a fast way to get invested with malware
