Update on Claude AI teaching me to play the guitar:

Day 10 - I’ve got down 14 chords, one pentatonic scale (Em) the basics of down strumming, the beginnings of basic music theory (chord structure, circle of fifths, a little bit of harmony), and I’m beginning to be able to scrape together the chords to my first song which is of course “Knockin on Heavan’s Door” by Dylan.

*** Don’t give Claude too much credit. I live at the intersection of obsessive and hyper-focused. I tend to miss things until I agree that I’m intrigued, and then I’m intensively in. Probably spent an equal amount of time being deeeeeply frustrated by Claude and his hallucinations. Having never used AI before this, the learning curve has been extreme. I’ve learned so much about the guardrails, his prioritizing efficiency over thoroughness, and blatant disregard for well structured prompts and system preferences.

Starting fresh! I started this nostr a year or two ago on the urging of my boss, he knows what’s up. Recently had a family crisis, and I found out that my lack of posting over the last year caused someone who is not in a healthy place to have psychosis. I had just been shying away from it because it felt so irrelevant in light of what I’m actually doing in my life. I also didn’t feel like sharing there because it just felt so fake. Finding out that just my year of opting caused someone to spiral was all that I needed to push me into finally just getting rid of it.

It’s been a while, but here I am , back here again. Finally deleted all social media profiles and apps. They really don’t want to let you go, not effective for another 30 days 🤣

Other than not really knowing where to begin, I figured I’d enroll in the Saylor University Specialization in Bitcoin Economics. I have a few close friends who have never been pushy about it but have encouraged me to start my own journey. If you read this and have suggestions to add to my list of materials to educate myself please share.
