@nprofile1q... it just doesn't fit with there being a perfect God at the center of everything. the evil has to be part of the plan in some way.

@nprofile1q... you're talking about free will, right? that's pretty good but in christian theology there's only one choice you're "supposed" to choose, or you get punished forever. it's not about growing whatever nascent possibilities may exist in the soup of eternity or whatever, about each soul finding a unique destiny, it's about everyone glorifying God by being simps for Him

and there are easier ways to get that

@nprofile1q... because it's supposed to be this perfect eternal thing with no flaws whatsoever, but sophia still was able to come along and fuck everything up by fucking outside of wedlock or whatever her mistake symbolically represents

if I was gonna make a cosmology like that, the creation of this imperfect world would be intentional, the same reason someone writes a thriller novel. you need imperfect characters and situations to make it interesting and meaningful. the story where victory is assured and everything always works out exactly how it "should" would be pointless

@nprofile1q... mostly I think it's promoted by people who hate life itself. it's a suicidal ideology, basically "die to return to the monad"

but the monad it portrays is basically fundamentally incompetent

@nprofile1q... rofl ok I'm not being a jerk here I'm trying to start a philosophical discussion

I'm not gnostic either I just kinda see some problems with the doctrine
