@nprofile1q... we have found it the best tariff for us. Yesterday I plotted our monthly unit price achieved over the last 15 months vs the fixed price being offered, and I was pleased with the outcome. We don’t actually work very hard to shift workload - mainly washing and dishwasher loads, and heating (which is underfloor resistive electric based) runs mostly between 7pm and 7am

@nprofile1q... not sure about the weather (currently light rain in Greenwich)…but it’s another day with negative electricity pricing (until 4pm, at least)…so we’ve a day of running all the heating, ovens, dish washer and washing machine to take advantage of being paid to use electricity.

Baofeng radios seem *remarkably* cheap for what one gets.
@nprofile1q... I think the Tidmaster TD-H3 has a reputation for being a bit of a Baofeng killer…you might want to check it out. If you want to ever play with satellites, then full duplex capability is needed and the Anytone AT-D890UV seems to have the magic sauce

@nprofile1q... probably not your explanation…but I was using my powerbank to charge my laptop…but it wasn’t doing what I expected. Instead the laptop was charging the powerbank. Discovered a five second press on the powerbank’s power button toggled between the powerbank providing power to or being charged by whatever it was plugged into.
