I finished reading Reef by Romesh Gunesekera, my Sri Lankan title for my read around the world project. It was such a breath of fresh air to read a book about people doing normal things and going through their lives while treating each other humanely. While reading, I keep encountering triggers which made me think something bad is about to happen but it never does. In the end, everyone is a decent person. Why is this so shocking to me?! Am I just so completely jaded?

Tried my hand at journaling and can’t seem to land on a good system that is engaging but also sustainable. I need to get my thoughts out of my head onto paper so I don’t want to give up. I write stuff down all the time but everything seems scattered everywhere at the moment. Bullet journaling didn’t work for me. Any advice?
