Once again, Switzerland manages to barely stay humane. Like a few journalists I read in recent weeks I am so fucking tired of the xenophobic discussions, the need to defend the humanity of it all. But hey, at least we made it for another few years. We rejected the 10-Million limit for permanent residents. My wife is sitting in the sofa next to me and scrolling through the results by community – and judging them.

Have you been wondering if this or that you're seeing is generated by AI? I've been looking at this nice role-playing book, Umdaar: Rebel Broadcast Edition (affiliate link goes to the publisher, I think). One reader raised the following point:

"On the page it says "Human created without AI" but when I pass my cursor on the art everywhere in the book there is a note saying "AI generated content" I haven't found a place it doesn't yet.... Wouldn't have bought it had I known."

The publisher says it's impossible and starts investigating.

"No — that shouldn't be the case at all. I don't know why it would be indicating it was either. In fact, all the artwork aside from the cover (which was definitely done by human Lorne Colt) was created before the LLM AI technology even existed (we used artwork we commissioned from humans back in the 2010s), so it's frankly impossible. … After some research I've found out that Adobe InDesign deployed a new auto-generate-alt-text-with-AI feature when I wasn't looking, and made it turned on BY DEFAULT. Fully ridiculous and sickening. We'll get it fixed."

Thanks for nothing, Adobe, LLM AI and everybody else driving the world into the abyss.

My employer is looking for a Information Security Officer in Munich, Germany.
Website: https://www.bsi-software.com/de/karriere/jobs/information-security-officer

The reason I'm posting this is because I just saw an announcement on LinkedIn. Looking at the other postings, however, I see there are a few more positions:

Software engineers in Catania, Sicily, Italy.

And German-speaking software engineers, business analysts, project managers, key account managers in Switzerland (Baar, Baden, Bern, Luzern, Zürich) and Germany (Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, München).

It's quite astonishing how many people are so caught up in a world of products that, when given a choice, they often forget about the choice not to have any. Like, what's better for the environment, combustion engines or electrical vehicles? The answer is, of course, no cars! We don't need to pick between two kinds of car. We need be able to work from home or near our homes; we need buy our groceries in walking distance; we need public transport to get to other places.

Once I had understood the argument, I started seeing it everywhere: The choice between A and B is offered and the best choice is to choose neither.

What a nightmare. If you can read this and still think autonomous agents like OpenClaw are worth the risk, you're beyond help. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/401123335_Agents_of_Chaos

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... Oof:
“The paper was written collaboratively by the research team on Overleaf. To build this website, Chris gave Claude Code three things: the LaTeX source of the paper, a reference web template (baulab.info/menace), and the raw OpenClaw session logs for five of the bots. Over roughly eight hours, Chris directed Claude Code step by step — reviewing each section, catching errors, making design decisions, and iterating — while Claude Code handled the actual reading, log cross-referencing, HTML generation, and evidence linking.” – Agents of
