I don’t know what Bip110 is and at this point I’m afraid to ask 👀

Imagine the old 80 bytes limit the physical space you can write on a cash note. Would you want to enlarge the cash note’s size just because a few people want to draw a Mona Lisa and write a poem on it?

Bitcoin is electronic cash. Cash only transfers value with maybe a checksum or a hash worth of data (80kb) with it, which would be equivalent of some random characters on a physical note at most. All humans universally understand that anything more on cash becomes less and less money, increasing the risk of the next person rejecting that note therefore decreasing its value because you tried to attach an unintended secondary purpose to it.

Bitcoin Core turned cash notes into the size of your TV screen. BIP110 wants revert that.

The ironic thing is that no one can agree on a definition of money, so trying to enforce "monetary-only" transactions is an impossible task. Eventually there will be someone who will define what mone...

I think all the “what is monetary tx” questions are intended to muddy the water.

Maybe we were never meant to have one main bitcoin node implementation for this long. Why don’t more ppl consider that a centralized attack vector? Humans are always the weakest link. Imagine if mining was 85% one pool.

Wouldnt Bitcoin be stronger with multiple implementations?

Yeah i've got a Mac mini, M4 Pro Chip, 12‑Core CPU, 16-Core GPU which i do run for openclaw and other local models but it's not possible to run a full coding open weights model like GLM 5.2 on it, i'd need 300 to 400gb of vram instead of my current 48gb of ram.

it's too slow for coding. i run ollama and lm studio for local chat sometimes on my mac mini, but i don't use it for coding.

There's a clip going around of Trump saying that he used nuclear on Iran. Most probably it's a slip of the tongue, but it's not the kind of thing that you can leave uncorrected... I'm trying to verify.

They may know it but a platform that won't pre-emptively ban anyone they disagree with is terrifying.
