Ah yes, excellent point! I wasted too much time caring and being so sure about the wrong things. Children, I believe, are naturally open and curious, so nurturing it and protecting it is our responsibility. Being amazed by everything as well, is something I love in people. I guess what I’m saying is, I would like them to be able to recognise worthwhile work and when they encounter it, have the courage and discipline to commit to it.

4. Compounding.
5. Second-order consequences.

I think these things help explain a huge amount of human behaviour and decision-making, from finance to relationships to growth.
