In a lot of their questions about the nature of the world, of history, of human nature, etc they look for an absolute answer or opinion. Our retired show cockerel has become the calm and gentle leader of his flock.

He’s incredible to watch, always seeming to pause and think before he acts. Chickens are far more intelligent than they’re often given credit for.
