Someday I’d love to meet a bip-110 supporter in real life to discuss the issue…I see the core 30 position as obviously the “correct” one (modulo implementation/communication nits)… It is to...

Not sure if your "obviously... correct" is a troll, but you do realize that is correct to YOU and your idea of what this new system should be.

There are others that disagree.

I don't believer there is a universally correct answer because we are all different and have different motives , concerns and incentives. We all view bitcoin in a slightly different light. That is fine and that is good! but whenever you have a group of perceived elites make decisions with disregard to what are perceived as valid concerns by a large portion of the community (and then proceed mock and condemn those concerns), there is going to be pushback. We are seeing this everywhere.

The problem is no one knows the future. I worry these changes will place running nodes at risk - financial, legal, moral risks. That concerns me for putting the entire system at risk and thus that makes me cautious of these changes. And I have yet to hear convincing arguments for the change. I guess you don't feel the same. Since we don't know the future, we don't know if your obviously correct future will occur or my "obviously incorrect" one will.

Why do you feel a new relay policy brings risk to bitcoin? Perhaps you were unaware of the unsavory data embedded already long ago in the chain?

You know these are still primarily interpreted by actual living human beings right ? AI is sometimes used to point out specific diagnoses but overall I wouldnt trust it even for my pet.

A patient who treats himself has a fool for a doctor - Houndsfieldsunit 😉

Both are tongue in cheek but there is truth in both.

Everyone has joked for decades about how bad the flu vaccine is. I believe they even admitted that the most prevalent strains have not even been covered the past few years.

But government doesn't let a simple thing like logic get in their way.

When your house gets dirty you use chemicals that smell of citrus. Thus your house now smells of citrus. So from now on, when your house gets dirty you only have to make your house smell like citrus and not actually clean anything right?

public health is based on the principle of utilitarianism with the greatest good for the greatest number of people the opposite of that is private health, the optimization of your own body for your ...

I view Public Health as almost Keynesian medicine. It places control of your health in the hands of a small centralized group of elites who don't see you as an individual human being, but as a data point to be manipulated to somehow improve the health of the overall society.

But just like Keynesian economics, it is completely backwards in alignment and incentives with the individual. To them the society is what is important, not you as an individual. They know what's good for you and you should just do as they say.

I'll be nice and just say I disagree.

Such people often “succeed” throughout their school lives by being the best at memorization and compliance. Few are rewarded (and are often punished) for independent thought.

Educated is a fancy word for programmed. The more programmed someone is the more difficult to deprogram.
