nostr:npub18ull0tdnj9vugtq259k48szg80al44ta7g4fa85nvj3svaq7kt8s9udcl9 is the best bitcoin/LN wallet out there and it’s not even close https://blossom.primal.net/dea5a5977d6db2593baa8622e23dec0919f02...

Is it an LN wallet now?
Last time I checked it was a Liquid wallet, like Aqua.

And yes, you can send and receive LN transactions from a Liquid wallet, it involves a (non-free) swap though, every single time you send or receive.
Please don't advertise, or recommend Liquid wallets as LN wallets.

Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it. Yes, it’s likely a Lightning liquidity/routing issue with larger payments on the current Alby–Primal setup. Smaller transactions go through normally. For future contributions: ⚡ Lightning: [email protected] ₿ BTC: bc1qf9zaequkv0...

No, I haven't configured a personal node. On Alby, there's a feature that allows me to connect Alby directly to the Nostr wallet (Primal), and this is meant to directly use the Primal wallet node, if I remember correctly. That's the option I used. I hope the screenshots help you understand better...

Hey Lassdas, I can appreciate where you're coming from. You want to fund in your own terms. And we didn't consider that some users might really not want to add their email. As mentioned before, i...

There it is:
You don't see a strong reason NOT to ask for email,
but shouldn't it be the other way around?

I still don't see a strong (or any) reason to ask for it.

Sure, it can be and is useful for project updates, newsletters, or whatever, but as you said it yourself, IF(!) you subscribe.

I didn't and won't.
Yet you don't seem to care.

And for the failed contributions situation, when doing anonymous contributions you already offer the download of a "refundFile", but for logged in users that's not enough? I guess then it's not really useful at all, huh?

Anyway, it's your baby, you can do whatever you want, or think is right.

I hear your point, and I think the principle is correct: we shouldn’t collect information unless we have a real need for it. That’s a principle we try to follow. Where this becomes different for us is when user funds are involved. If you fund anonymously, we let you do that, and the responsibi...

Hey Lassdas, thanks for reaching out and sorry for delayed response. Honestly, we appreciate your feedback. That's right, we now require email for logged in users, even Nostr users. And it looks ...

I still don't understand why it needs to be a requirement.

Why do you even want to "reach out to me"?
If I don't subsribe to project updates with projects that I support, why would I want you to "spread the word about projects" that I probably don't care about directly via email?

That's exactly why I was hesitating giving it to you, I simply don't want to receive your newsletter, random project information or whatever you might send.
And why give it to you just to later opt-out or not subscribe (if users really have that choice)?

Sovereign email providers don't change anything, as mentioned before, it's less about me hiding my mail, as it is about you not needing it, except for filling my spam-folder.

Hey Lassdas, I can appreciate where you're coming from. You want to fund in your own terms. And we didn't consider that some users might really not want to add their email. As mentioned before, it can be useful for things like Project Updates (if you follow projects) and getting Geyser nerwslet...

Ugh, just tried logging in with a test npub and I get stuck on the same dialog. They had my email for my normal npub, so it didn't show with that one.

Yeah, it seems they don't care about nostr much.
While looking for contact infos I scrolled down to the footer and there's lot's of "social media" links, but no npub, no mention of nostr, although they obviously have a profile.

There have been a lot changes since I first joined, but honestly, none of them made it better, or easier to use (for me at least).
It's kinda sad though.

It's really sad to still remain centralized after this struggle for decentralization that we are all fighting. Or maybe they are waiting to be deprived of their account on centralized networks before they can take Nostr seriously? Such is the question I ask myself. As far as the changes they ...
