My copy of the Psychology of Software Teams by @nprofile1q... was supposed to have shipped a week ago for me to pick up in Vancouver. I got here yesterday! So I went to the store to see what's going on.

Clerk: "Hmm... It says it's delayed... That's weird. Should be here by now."

[5 minutes of digging through the system later.]

Clerk: "Ah! Here it is. 'Delayed due to natural disaster'. Must be all the forest fires."

....... Ah well. Let's see if it shows up by Thursday. If not, someone in Vancouver is getting a present.

It's amazing how fast you hit farmland once you're in the air.

No jets in the Toronto downtown airport! The densest residential area in the country shouldn't be building an unnecessary airport right next door. It's bad for the people. There is a direct train that takes you from downtown to the big airport.

The island should be a park.

IDK why, but it boggles my mind that some people live in places where tropical fruits grow in their yard. You mean, you just go outside and pick your oranges?!
